After our Art Activity, we continued in that tone, this time combining game playing and drawing. Our forth activity was playing Pictionary in the hall of Madame Tadia Hotel.
This time we were in more numerous number; 9 refugee youth, 5 local volunteers, Proder team and Eskisehir government board.
Our game was Pictionary which is a charades-inspired word-guessing game.
The Youth was divided into four groups of four people. Each member of the group had to choose a paper from the cup. On each paper that was a word written both in English and Turkish language. After the word was chosen, the player tries to draw pictures which suggest the word printed on the piece of paper. The drawers cannot use spoken clues about the subjects they are drawing. The teammates try to guess the word the drawing is intended to represent.
After member of one group finished with the drawing, the player from the next group was in turn.
The players had one minute to draw and for their teammates to try to guess the word that could be an action, verb ,a thing, animal…
After the game, the rewards were handed down from board members to players on second and first place.
The aim of this activity was learning through playing, using imagination and associate the pictures with the words while having fun.
