European Youth Week 24-30th of May

This week, starting from today 24th of May we celebrate European Youth Week. This year topic is “Our future in our hands”. The celebration has an aim to raise awareness among youth about their values, contribution to the society, integration of youth. We are the future and we need to build the world that we want to live in. Our action and our motivation to create the better society is supported by EU. We need active society, our elders did their best to create the world that we are in now, but its our time now.

Future is created now and you have the power to set up goals and contribute to initiatives on how to make things better“.

The main organizers of the European Youth Week are the National Agencies for Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps and the Eurodesk network. In 2021 the European Youth Week will predominantly take place at national level and online. It consists of a broad range of events and activities organized in all 33 countries participating in Erasmus+, under the coordination of the National Agencies for Youth.

“This European Youth Week aims to foster youth participation by engaging, connecting and empowering young people. It is the perfect launch pad for their ideas on how the EU works for them, and on the role they can play in our post-COVID recovery.  The new Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps programmes offer a wealth of opportunities that can be true game-changers for young people in this process. I am looking forward to interacting with young people, in various formats, over the coming week, and working together to shape their future.”
