Environmental studies are all about learning the way we should live and how we can develop sustainable strategies to protect the environment. It helps individuals to develop an understanding of living and physical environment and gives them tools to resolve challenging environmental issues affecting nature. The challenges that we are facing in environmental research are restrictions that the external environment imposes on the survival of organizations. The five major fields of environmental science are social sciences, geosciences, environmental chemistry, ecology, and atmospheric sciences.
“Environment” is quite a wide term and that is one of the biggest problems in research. There are a lot of components that intertwine, collide, affect direct and indirect on each other. Humans and nature are both unpredictable, so we can just make a conclusion based on the previous experience, but we cannot predict the effects correctly.
We need environmental research in order to understand how people decisions and actions affect the environment, build knowledge and skills necessary to address complex environmental issues, as well as ways we can take action to keep our environment healthy and sustainable for the future. We cannot do much for science, because we don’t have resources and knowledge, but we can at least try to do something for the social science and ecology. Our work is mainly focusing on social science and how people directly influence on ecology, we can combine those two.
Our strategy is to make research about our city and its surroundings, find the places that are polluted and unclean. With the Internet today, we have access to many data, our research is primarily theoretic here but also, we want to include youth opinion on this specific topic, see what is their interest in ecology, environment and which way they want to improve it or be part of environmentally clean, pollution free surrounding.
