What is Clothes Bank?
Clothes Bank is a 12 months (52 weeks during the period 01/05/2021 to 30/04/2022) ESC volunteering project which aims to:
✅ Create positive awareness in our community
✅ Heal the wounds in our society after the pandemic with solidarity
✅ Make solidarity effective in our community.
Within the scope of the project, we will collect the leftover clothing from our community through donations, make them ready for online sales with the help of our volunteers, deliver the income from online sales and remaining clothes to the Social Aid and Solidarity Foundation with a receipt. A total of 3 fashion shows will be organized in the malls in Eskişehir to increase donations and raise awareness on the subject. Our volunteers will wash and dry the leftover clothing, iron them, make minor repairs if any, hang them on a cloth hanger, take pictures and upload them to the application and perform online sales of the clothes through the application.
The volunteers will live in rented flat in Eskişehir, in individual rooms (2 volunteers will share the flat), common area, shared cooking, washing, laundry and social facilities, free Wi-fi included.
Volunteers will receive 80 Euro per month food allowance to buy food products and cook for themselves and 120 Euro per month in form of “pocket money”.
Volunteers are responsible for arranging their travel. Travel costs will be reimbursed at the end of the project according to the distance band limits imposed by the European Commission.
👩🏻🏫 TRAINING DURING THE ACTIVITY
The volunteers will attend the On-Arrival Training and Mid-Term Evaluation, organized by the Turkish National Agency. The volunteers will also receive Turkish language training during the first 3 months. They will receive ongoing support from activity coordinators, mentors and staff of our organization.

👤 PARTICIPANT PROFILE
Age 18-30. LONG-TERM volunteers have to be people with fewer opportunities (geographical, economical, cultural etc.). No earlier participation in long term ESC/EVS. Looking for participants from Netherlands and Portugal.
