Erasmus Youth mobility programmes 2021 – 2027
Within the KA1 programme, the Erasmus + 2021 – 2027 includes a variety of activities for youth mobility.
The aim of youth learning mobility programmes is to improve professional development of European students. By learning mobility programmes young people can gain more working experiences. Social participation in intercultural activities and education is also a very good opportunity to improve in professional and personal skills.
Erasmus + programmes are part of aid, development, education and improvement of societies. This is why Erasmus + programmes are a good way for NGOs and educational institutions to develop social work activities. Hiring youth workers and students is a long-term investment for more professionalization and experience of future workers.
Who can participate?
Learning mobility activities are available for students and youth workers, who join the programmes as participants. Each programme has their own requirements, so make sure to check the specifics of each one in the official Erasmus + website: https://erasmus-plus.ec.europa.eu/programme-guide/part-b/key-action-1/youth-exchanges
Organizations of Programme Countries can also participate in mobility programmes carrying out the projects and activities or as host institutions.
All parts involved in the programmes: individual participants, organizations, institutions and hosting societies learn and benefit from Erasmus + programmes.

How many KA1 Learning Mobility programmes are there?
The Learning mobility in the field of Youth consists of three types of actions for students and youth workers:
- Mobility of young people: Youth Exchanges
- Mobility projects for youth workers
- Youth participation activities
How to receive funding for Learning Mobility programmes
If you are an organization interested in Erasmus + Learning Mobility programmes you might be interested in getting to know how you can participate.
There are two types of funding you can receive to carry out Erasmus + Learning Mobility programmes and activities:
- Standart projects
Standart projects are carried out by informal groups and youth organizations. They include 1 or more activities in a Programme Country. Projects can last from 3 to 24 months.
- Accredited projects
Accredited projects are limited to organizations and institutions that have the Erasmus + accreditation. Erasmus + accreditation can be useful if your organization is engaged with Erasmus + programmes on a regular basis. The accreditation grants regular funding for various Erasmus + activities.
There are different types of accreditation, depending on the programme that your organization wants to participate in. We will let you know the details in the next posts.
In the case of Erasmus accreditation in the field of youth you can find the details here, in the official website: https://erasmus-plus.ec.europa.eu/programme-guide/part-b/key-action-1/accreditation-youth

Are you interested in any of the Learning Mobility programmes?
If you are an individual student, a youth worker or an organization you can easily apply for the projects and activities. Good news is that groups of individuals and organizations can participate without Erasmus + accreditation if they apply as partners.
