98th Anniversary of Eskişehir’s Liberation from Enemy Occupation – September 2, 2020

The liberation of Eskişehir from enemy occupation on September 2, 1922 constitutes one of the most important stops of that glorious march that started on August 26 and ended with the establishment of a brand new Republic. Congratulations on the 98th anniversary of our liberation from the enemy occupation of Eskişehir, which is the eternal monument of the unshakable character shown by the Turkish nation in defending its homeland and played a key role in winning the War of Independence.

Eskisehir survived many troubles during the period that resulted in liberation on September 2, 1922. The people of Eskişehir, who fully supported the War of Independence led by Mustafa Kemal Pasha without ever being discouraged, celebrate September 2 with pride every year as the day of liberation. In our city, the name 2 Eylül is kept alive on campus, street, newspaper and many other places.

The 98th Anniversary of Eskisehir’s Liberation from Enemy Occupation will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 02, 2020, with ceremonies to be held within the framework of this program within the scope of Covid-19 (Pandemic) measures.

We commemorate all our martyrs and veterans, especially the Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, with respect, mercy and gratitude, on the anniversary of the liberation of the people of Eskişehir from the enemy invasion with their superior efforts, strenght and determination.
